The land is at peace, at rest tonight.

There is no trouble above or below.

All is calm here, now.

My soul is troubled though.

At the injustice and the loss.

At the way the movie ended.

So many said so much.

They lulled us into submission.

With their dangling carrots of false hope.

The rumbling blitzkrieg churned forth.

Flying bits and bytes of artillery.

Pounded the people into submission.
