Mark 9:1-29
Jesus has just descended from the mountain where He had been with Moses. He finds the crowds arguing and the disciples surrounded. This recasts Moses time on Mt Sinai with Yahw*h.
Except this time Yahw*h Himself descends the mountain to Israel.
Moses threw the tablets down in anger. Jesus says “you faithless generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I put up with you?”
Jesus tells the man whose child is suffering “all things are possible for the one who has faith”
Made me think of Neitsche’s judgement on Christendom. We held fast to our morality but let go of our faith.
Jesus was looking for faith- Yahw*h was looking for faith pure and simple.
Both were angered that they couldn’t find it.
But the faith was resurrected on the 3rd day because the sins had been dealt with so God can now dwell inside of men.
We are heirs of this. The faith is ours because He is ours.
